Faith Formation for Children and Adults
Opportunities for worship and religious education are an integral part of parish life at St. Matthew’s. We prepare children and adults for the reception of various sacraments.
All St. Matthew Confirmation candidates and their families are invited to attend the St. Matthew 10 AM Mass on Sunday, November 5. After Mass, we will host Coffee Sunday, which will be a potluck brunch with the dishes provided by Confirmation families. Everyone who comes to 10 AM Mass is invited to the potluck brunch. There will also be a meeting for Confirmation candidates and their parents in the Social Hall after Mass. Confirmation families need to arrive by 9:45 and plan to stay until noon that day. Please RSVP to Janelle Rohr, email@example.com, or by telephone 651-457-3522.

Registration for Faith Formation and Sacramental Preparation
Every September, families with students in grades 1-10 attending public schools register their children for our Wednesday evening Faith Formation and Sacraments classes. Registrations are taken after weekend Masses in late August through early September, and forms are available in the back of church and from the Parish Center. Registrations can also be done in person the night of the first class.
New in 2017, parents are able to register online at www.st-matts.org/ff-register.
When signing up for Faith Formation classes, parents can also sign up their children for the sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. Students are prepared for those sacraments during the Wednesday evening classes held from 6:30 to 7:45 PM.
The first evening of class for the 2017-2018 school year was on September 20. The classes run through April. September 20 was family night with parents and guardian being invited to stay and attend that evening.
