Peace Thoughts

from Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Graders of St. Matthew's School, St. Paul, MN

Peace: Love in every stitch of the heart.

Peace is needed.
Peace is wanted.
Peace is not yet given.
But we can make it if we try.

Fishing will solve all your problems.

Our leader and your leader should get together and go bowling.

Pray that we have peace, and if we go to war we should pray for all the soldiers.

Those who are never, ever nice will probably never find peace.

Why did this fight have to come? Why can't we just stop it?

Pray that everybody in Iraq will get out of there.

Peace is good, peace is great, come on and liberate.

Peace is like a bank, the more you put in the more you get out.

Peace is good. Every country should have peace with each other.

If everyone took an eye for an eye, everyone would be blind.

Peace is good! War is bad!

Peace is cool.

If the whole world was in a peaceful state of mind, we would be friends with almost every country. No one would ever steal. No one would commit a crime. Just let the world be a world.

There was a time when we were too afraid to think about the good that time is not back. And the Lord shall decide when love shall reign forever.

Pray for peace and what is right.

We pray that everyone prays for peace and we stop the violence.

I want world peace. We shouldn't have to fight to settle an argument or to set opinions. I support the war but I really don't like the thought of a bunch of people that don't even want war dying.

I pray that not a lot of people die in the war because there are so many innocent people.

I think that the only way to have peace is by sending our soldiers to Iraq and try to make peace.

Without peace the world would disintegrate to nothing.

Peace reminds me of the world because it's all connected perfect and just right.

Peace is like air, we need it.

Pray for peace and all the people who are hurting right now and pray for the people who think it's OK to kill and hurt people so that they will come to their senses.

I think of peace when everyone is kind to each other and they don't start a war. I think that people shouldn't start being unkind to each other it will always lead to something.

Do not do bad. It will make the good mad. Do good instead, like Robin Hood. When I think peace, I think of a world with no wars. All men and women are equal and everybody gets along.

I pray that we all have peace in the world today.

We as a country need to pray for peace.

When I think of peace, I think of our country being a free country and it is a free country.

Peace is good, we should have it. We wouldn't have to die in wars, just to be alive.

God, we pray for peace and that no one gets killed.
God, we pray there will be peace for a long time.

Peace is where people live together without fighting.
Peace is a just place. We need this place.

Just have a peaceful world.

Stop the violence and increase the peace.

Why did we have to fight? Why can't we just get along? Why did he do all those bad things? Why can't we just have peace?

Peace is what makes the world go around. If there's not peace the world will stop and we'll all die.

Peace isn't something people should have to work for.

Now war seems inevitable. But soon will come the day when peace is here.

Every day we should stop and think about what's going on and pray for everybody who is suffering.

When I think of peace, it reminds me of the beautiful purples, pinks, golds and oranges that are in the sky at sunset time.

Justice is peace, we need more peace in the world.

Peace is like building a house, the harder you work together the better it will be.

You have to find peace, peace doesn't look for you.

When war gets weaker, Peace gets stronger.

Peace is not received, you must make it.

Peace is a world with no war. A world where we don't kill our brothers and sisters because of different beliefs. A world where we put our lives to God, instead of working against Him. A world where love and harmony roam the earth, forever!

Peace means that everyone in the world is happy. That there is no fighting. That we all get along. Peace is the power to live your life in harmony. The encouragement to make the world a better place. To make friends with our enemies. Peace is to love each other and to be happy, to not fret about what will happen next but to trust that in the end someone will be there. Peace means that whatever happens, whatever the outcome, we will all be there for someone in pain.

Dear God, You help us to get peace. Help kids understand peace. Peace should be all over the world. No matter who you are, peace should be everywhere, for everyone. If someone doesn't understand peace, then teach peace. Help me to understand peace. We should all have some peace in us, no matter what we look like. God, we should listen to Your words of peace and we should follow them, and we should have others follow us. Then we shall all have peace.

Peace means no going to war, no fighting, no bad people in this world, no killing. All we need is peace. If there was peace we wouldn't be going through this, this going to war.

I think peace means no war, no weapons, no fighting, no killing, being kind, good friends, family members, none of anything that can hurt, kill or make a person sick. That's what I think peace means.

The word peace means to not fight and be kind and nice to others all the time. Peace means to be peaceful and very respectful too.

I think peace is throwing away our weapons and making friendship with each others.

Peace in my way means to not be violent. Also be friendly with your enemies and not to be a troublemaker.

Peace means to be free, with friend but have no enemies. Love is a part of peace, we have to love one another to do part one.

Peace means people don't fight or kill God's kids. People don't want to fight, they are called to be peacemakers.

I think peace means the world to not fight, or no weapons and when someone says stop, then you stop.

Peace to me means friendliness, happiness, to stop fighting and be friends.

What peace means to me is...that we should not fight and start wars to solve problems, and hurt and kill innocent people who are just trying to live their lives.

Peace means to be joyful and thinking about others and not yourself and to help others.

World peace is for everyone and everything that you can think of should have world peace.

Peace means everyone gets along and everyone makes new friends. Everyone should share peace.

I think that peace is when no one fights, calls people names and everyone gets along all the time.

I think it means stop fighting and get along.

Peace is when two or more people are in a fight and after they agree on something or just stop fighting and make peace.

I think peace means kindness, sharing and helpfulness.

Peace is being kind to one another unless war is the last resort.

I think peace means being nice and not fighting. Peace means helping each other.

What peace mans to me is getting along with each other, not fighting with each other and treating people how you want to be treated.

Peace means the coming together of people. It also means not fighting against your fellow human. And peace is what makes our planet from being a war zone.

Peace is a symbol of happiness and kindness.
